The Marsh has suspended all performances and operations as of now, March 13, through April 1st. My March 16 Monday Night Marsh performance has been cancelled. This move is unprecedented, was taken after long deliberations, and will be reviewed as the impact of COVID-19 develops. Thanks for everything The Marsh means to so many of us. themarsh.org.

The NorCal Fringe, which had been scheduled to take place in Grass Valley, California, March 18 - 21, has been postponed due to concern for the health of all participants. Maybe this summer. Thanks to everyone for such heart.

Friends and story lovers. Rabble rousers - you too!

Coming right up - opportunities to shake off that winter slump. Days are getting longer, and there’s no better time to get out and see some fresh, live work. Hot topic: What is women’s work? When is something out of line? And who decides?

In my latest one woman show, OUT OF LINE, Kat draws a line at the pinup calendar gal right in her own workspace. The original working title was TOLERANCE, and the story is fueled by my own work as a union machinist and aviation mechanic. Women tell me, ”It’s real,“ and that’s why we can laugh about it. This fresh and funny solo show comes with with more than a dash of Rosie the Riveter.

How can you see it? Thanks for asking.

On March 9 and 16, I perform a section of OUT OF LINE at Monday Night Marsh in San Francisco, as part of a lineup with Alan Harris, Gwen, Yvonne Oanakeme and Geneva Rust Orta. Show starts at 7:30 pm; doors open at 7 pm. 1062 Valencia Street, SF. A short walk from 24th St. BART station.

Then, from March 18 to March 22, OUT OF LINE moves to the Sierra foothills for the NorCal Fringe in Grass Valley, formerly known as Nugget Fringe. One long weekend, three performances, new audiences. Details to come, but it’s going to be an adventure.

And I only just got the word that I will be going to Indy Fringe August 13 - 23.

Still working on the 2020 calendar. More in the works, but it’s always a good time to see your friendly faces in the audience. Please spread the word to people in the San Francisco area, the Sierra foothills. You could tell them that critics say: “Compelling!” “Fascinating story!” “The machine shop comes alive.” Or you could tell them that audiences say: “Amusing, authentic, and on target!” “Heartening.” “A lasting impact.”

Speaking of audiences: I learn from every one of you Thanks to the fine producers at Monday Night Marsh, Footloose Presents, San Francisco Fringe, Solo Sundays, Rogue Festival, and Speak Out Now!, this story is part of a living discussion. You can help me share it with your friends, your students, your coworkers. I will perform at theaters, storefronts, classrooms, community centers, and living rooms: everywhere I find people hungry for discussion.

Feel that change in the air? Join in. Let's talk.
